A crazy week

// July 23rd, 2007 // family

This post is to mainly test out the ability to add items via email, which is so cool I can’t stand it. I can sit in the training coming up this week for me and write posts for no reason, mail them and BAM! they appear on this blog…

As some of you may know, I had to pack up my cubicle that I’ve been residing in since November of 2003. It was full of all kinds of stuff, from moving posters to Suns memorabilia to little knick-knacks and footballs. You name it, I probably had I there. So packing it up today took a good long time and was pretty hard. I liked that cube, as much as I always have talked about never getting a real office. It was my home for so long.

Now I move to a new office in downtown Phoenix, on the sixth floor of a building on Central avenue. Luckily I’m sitting next to a good friend of mine from my old office, who was also just recently moved over. It should be okay, but change is always hard.

To top it off, I am in training all week for a software program I use, so I wont even be at the new office until next Monday.

Anyways, I am still working on my huge Blogging 101 post that should come sometime soon, because I know a few of you are dying to know all about it.

And for the rest of you, at least one in particular who doesn’t know much about rain gauges…Kate, I’ll post more about that stuff later ?

(1.55 inches of rain on Saturday night! – 1.95 inches so far this Monsoon season)

    This is my first blog! How appropriate that it is Mike’s! And where did that word come from anyway (blog, I mean, not Mike!)?

    I am amazed that you have moved up in the work world … wow, Central Avenue! Will you walk to lunch? Can you see a palm tree out your window? Do you need some East Texas memorabilia to fill your new space?

    Blog is from the term “web log” which is basically like an online journal of sorts. People started journaling or talking about their lives, their opinions on things, etc. They got called Web Logs, then shortened to just “blogs”….

    Central avenue should be nice, there are lots of places to eat, but it’s about 7-9 miles further than where I am now, so it’s a bit more miles on the truck.
