This blog has been an all-consuming task the last five days. I was all setup on Blogger and then I realized after reading a few places that I was basically in blog noobville. What I really needed was a Wordpress blog.

So I got one of those, only to realize when two friends were over last night that I need a Wordpress blog HOSTED ON MY OWN SERVER, not a Wordpress.com hosted account. Great! Thanks Adrian and Ryan!

Unsatisfied again, I tried to get the ‘AMikeLife.com’ domain forwards to my personal website account, only to find out it really didn’t work too well that way. Not to mention my hosting company has plans that are entirely outdated and too expensive for what you can get out there these days.

I was up late finding this killer theme I choose finally, and I love it. My plan is to switch the photo around randomly, depending on what is currently cool or what I think is cool. Enjoy the first one with the Flight of the Conchords cast…I love those guys.

Of course, once I found my theme, I realized I needed a separate host for it, so I found a new one this morning and have been switching things over. That hasn’t been easy either. But it looks like all that is finally done, my theme is up, I have the awesome non-NOOB blog software and so I’m ready to roll.

With the past 5-days of software tryouts, new websites, blogging adventures, expect a good post coming soon on Mike’s Official “How to become a blogger in 5-days” tutorial. Gonna be a whopper.
