Haboob insanity

If you don’t know what a haboob is, you are probably a normal, well-adjusted person. If you do know what it is, the implications are that you’re a weather nerd like myself.

A haboob is that big wall of dust the proceeds a thunderstorm during monsoon season in Arizona. But as the following link show, our little dust storms are pretty sad compared to those elsewhere. Almost like a dust devil compared to a tornado I’d reckon.

    ha!! i was watching the news and they were showing pictures of the dust storm…I said to myself… “hey, thats not a dust storm, thats a haboob!! Get it right weather MAN!!”

    I almost took a picture of the haboob last night to post on here, but I was just too in AWE of a storm actually moving in :)
