Random thoughts

Here I sit in training…eight long hours every day this week. It’s a good thing, because I’m re-learning some things I forgot and adding some new information to the old noggin.
But my thoughts are on other things. I’ve become obsessed with blogging and wanting to make money at it. If you don’t realize what can be made out there these days, check out this article: http://www.doshdosh.com/profiles-of-blogs-that-make-money/
It’s simply amazing. If you can just put the time into doing this stuff the right way, you can totally make a nice living at it. It can be side money, or your fulltime job or whatever. If you start to make good money on it, you’ll probably want to do it fulltime of course, but that’s the fun part about it. I love writing, interacting with people online and building communities. It’s just fascinating to me. If I can make money at it, then all the better.
I have an idea that involves weather, blogging and photos. I talked to Adrian about it and it might work. But immediately when I think of something that might be great, I look at all the downsides first and doubt whether or not it can be done. That’s the hard part. To undertake something like this takes commitment and hard work. And it’s not worth doing if nothing will come of us, especially if that’s the reason you are trying.
Anyways, I’m bored and am sitting here with nothing to do but wait for pizza.

Who the heck knew there was so much $$ in blogging. Goes to show the old adage is true…’there’s a million ways to make a million dollars’. And in the info age probably more.
Mike -you have an insane love of weather, so why not harness that into something fun, and if you make some $$ at the same time, so much the better.
