Vintage t-shirt sites

// July 12th, 2007 // fun

When it comes to t-shirts, my friends and wife will tell you I’m pretty much addicted to them. It’s really hard to go a few months without buying a new one. I’ve given so many away to places like Goodwill that it’s truly amazing.

Regardless, over the years I’ve learned to appreciate a high-quality shirt. Not your normal Nike or Hanes Beefy tees that used to adorn my closet. I’m talking unique, vintag-fit t-shirts. I haven’t found a ton of sites, but I can pass on a few places I’ve found some of my favorite shirts.

Wornfree.com – This place is dedicated to old, vintage band t-shirts. You will find shirts worn by members of your favorite old bands and rock stars, like John Lennon, Johnny Ramone and Jim Morrison. These shirts have been seen on TV worn by popular characters, like Vince on Entourage, etc. The shirt I bought was a Johnny Ramone original.

LocalCelebrity.net – Another great, trendy t-shirt site. Their designs have been worn by celebrities like Adrian Brody, Carrie Underwood and Dane Cook, and seen on countless TV shows. These are again the same type of vintage or fitted style shirts, that aren’t too baggy and fit you perfectly. I also purchased a shirt from them after we saw it worn on the finale of Veronica Mars.

BustedTees.com – I’ve never purchased anything from this place, but I’m bound too I’m sure. Their shirts are hilarious and different. I wouldn’t call them “vintage” at all, but they are definitely fun and look great. You need to have a sense of humor to wear these because you’re most assuredly going to get looks from people. Heck, the shirt I bought at Local Celebrity got me all kinds of comments.

Buckle.com and Guess.com – I’ve never bought a shirt from Buckle, but all the ones I see in their store just call out to me. The problem is that whenever I’ve gone into a store, I’ve needed someone else, like a polo, or shoes. The timing has never been right. So sad….so sad. I did buy a few from Guess, but it was at an outlet store and I can’t seem to find them online. But they were great vintage shirts if you can find them.

Well, that’s about all I have in that regard. If I find more places I’ll post them later on.

I know most of you would rather I just skip the list and put up hot pictures of me wearing these shirts, but you’ll just have to wait…until I can find a dude with biceps willing to pose with them on and allow me to Photoshop my head into the shot.

I’ll see what I can do.

    Yeah, I somehow found Threadless.com earlier today…probably after the guy at Chipotle last night saw my Romance shirt…he told me about tshirthell.com (which isn’t a very PG site…more R-rated than anything), and I got to exploring.

    Good links Nicky!
