The Friday Question

Okay, it’s Friday and it’s time for a question.

There is only one question I can really think of this week and it’s a doozy. I think many of the people who read this blog daily, who comment on it and who read the comments, want to know the answer.

Who is Horatio Schwartz?

The self-proclaimed Captain of the Everglades has been commenting here for a month now, leaving subtle clues about who he is for all of us to ponder. Some of the clues are:

• He knows me and Jina
• He knows one or two others who read this blog
• He has left me clues about The Force/Star Wars and K-Pax.
• He has a Cox internet connection (IP logging, love it)

I think I know the answer now and it fits a lot of the clues. I am going to wager a guess and hopefully Horatio will reveal the truth and admit who he is.

Horatio is none other than my step-cousin Marshall.

Why? I’ll list the clues that led me to this:

• His email address has the word “flash” in it, and his older email address also had it
• The personality of the comments of Horatio seem very much like my cousin…a goofy, sarcastic guy
• He and his son once whooped my brother and I at Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
• I believe he uses Cox for his internet
• He would obviously know my Aunt who comments here and also my mother-in-law

No clue what the Everglades means really.

So am I right? Does anyone else have a better guess? I figure that since I put this all together last night and found all these clues that seem to fit, that I will be hugely wrong and completely crash and burn with the answer I put forth.
