#86 – Visit Sam’s house in northwest Phoenix

// September 24th, 2007 // family

Those who know me know that I am a homebody most of the time. What can be better than staying at home and relaxing, and maybe catching that weekend nap or three? Well, on the occasion I do get out of the house and do something different, it’s always a valuable experience for me, and I wish I did it more often. These tasks usually get hard for me when it requires a lot of effort on my part. Yuck.

Part of the 101 things to do list was to get me to do just that. Stretch myself in ways I’m not used to going normally.

My best friend Sam lives in northwest Phoenix…Union Hills Road and 51st-ish avenue. It’s way up there. But Friday I had already put in my 45 hours by 10 AM and figured I’d use this opportunity to stretch myself. I was already supposed to meet him for lunch down by his work in Tempe, but those plans didn’t work out as he got stuck at home.

I was going to bring him my Entourage DVDs as well, so I left work and headed up to his house. We had a good time, I met his three crazy dogs and then we had lunch, which is also part of #13 on my list. It made for a nice Friday.

And wouldn’t you know it? I got home in time to take a quick nap before we went out to a party.

All is right in the world.
