A hurricane in AZ?
// September 4th, 2007 // Uncategorized
No, of course not…but some of you probably have heard me say that I’d love to experience a hurricane someday. Well, since I don’t really have the money or time to chase Felix around Mexico, the next best thing will be Henriette.
Amazingly, this Pacific storm is coming straight up Mexico and into Arizona, or so they predict. It wont be a hurricane, but it should still be a tropical storm or at least a tropical depression.
What does that mean? Rain and stuff! Probably Friday – Sunday maybe…check out the predicted path to the left. I’ll keep you guys updated.

We here in the CatBox,we expect to get the rain Wednesday into Thursday with temps in the low 80s.
A little rain would be fine, but I’d just as soon skip the rest of the ‘hurricane’. There’s a reason I don’t live on gulf coast and hurricanes is pretty high up on that list.
Besides I want to go riding Fri nite and a hurricane might mess things up. And lastly I’m traveling Sun afternoon, so depending on when and how long it lasts it could make for a long day.
Other than that bring it on.
Come on, get down with that weather nerd hidden deep down inside you!
It will only be rain, no worries…last time a hurricane came our way, Phoenix barely got an inch of rain out of it…huge disappointment.
The track has moved, we might not even gert sprinkles…..

No, the northern edge of the storm has already broken the AZ border. Check this link out:

Granted, you are right, the track is moved, but it still means moisture for us and with it so hot, a great chance for thunderstorms tonight and the next few days.
We are getting rain now

Yeah, it’s starting to build up in the south and move in…hoping we get something up here later.
