Direct TV HD Channels are finally here! (at least some of them)

Just last night Direct TV finally released a bunch of new HD channels for us to enjoy. I didn’t have time this morning, but I looked at CNNHD and it seemed pretty cool. There are a few of them and I have the list below, just read on.
Which ones are you most excited about? I’m pumped, but I really was looking for FX, SciFI and ESPNews and I don’t see them. Bummer.

Yeah, it figures the ones I was most excited about aren’t available yet.
Also, interesting that a lot of these aren’t in 1080i, which watching them makes sense now. I wonder why this is. Any ideas?
I honestly can’t tell the difference between the two, but maybe my TV is older so that’s why. I think that broadcasting in 1080i takes up more bandwidth and resources than 720, and some people aren’t willing to pay for it.
I am really excited about Animal Planet, because you know how much I like shows about animals and nature! Sweet.
