…one baby bigger that is
We found out officially yesterday that my wife is pregnant and expecting our first child after being married for almost 10 years and and trying to have a kid for about 6-7 of those.
It’s a huge blessing for us, a massive answer to prayer and we thank every single one of you who have kept us in your thoughts and YOUR prayers.
I totally believe in the power of prayer, and I also believe in God’s own timeline for things, and I’m just so thrilled that his time for us to have a child is finally here.
The scoop is that we started doing In Vitro fertilization back in January, and it didn’t work out the first time, so we had to delay it a bit. On the 13th of March, the clinic transferred three embryos back into Jina and we had to wait.
11 days. A very long time.
We had to take a pregnancy test this past Monday, and the results showed Jina’s hCQ level at only 32, when they wanted it to be around 50.
That was slightly discouraging, but after talking to Jina’s sister who went through this exact same thing, we knew we were actually pregnant and just had to wait for the little guy to grow some more.
Well, yesterday, March 26th, we went in for the second pregnancy test, this time with an expected level of 65 and we blew that way with a 68.5 result!
The baby is growing just fine and kicking butt, and we’ll go in for a first ultrasound on April 15th.
Our families are stoked, we’re pumped and this week is like out of a dream.
A Mike Life, while having been dead for a little while, is now about to become the Mike and Jina Baby Journal, so if you want to keep up with what is going on, see the first ultrasound pictures and all that, then keep subscribed and stuff.
Thanks again for all your prayers and thoughts and everything from all our friends and family. We feel very loved and taken care of.
