Definitely the month of Lyla

// November 6th, 2008 // family

Okay, so Jina has been having this pain in her lower back which has really been bothering her more and more the past week. She was again up until 2:30am last night because of it and was really tired today.

But she went to visit her OB again because they told her to come in after hearing about the stuff going on last night and getting the results of a previous test.

Turns out there is no UTI, so that’s good news, but they are thinking Lyla may be causing problems with her sciatic nerve which could be the root of the pain.

Lyla is sitting really low right now and the OB discovered today that Jina is a centimeter dilated already.

She said she can’t make predictions, but she doesn’t think Jina will carry Lyla to term…she said more like a few weeks!

Which I take as 2-3 weeks, meaning sometime between the 20th and 27th!

I’m excited by the news, I hope it’s more like two weeks, not three. Jina is really, really, REALLY ready for Lyla to get here and I am too. I’m sort of done seeing Jina uncomfortable and in pain, and I know she’s been done with it for awhile.

Not to mention we really want to meet our little girl.

So that’s the awesome update for today. Everything is still looking great, and here’s a new picture of Jina from tonight. Don’t mind the spot on the lens over her chin :)

    Oh, thank you for posting this picture! Jina is beautiful! How exciting! I'm so excited for you! Oh, by the way… what is Lyla's middle name?

    I had sciatic pain with all 3 and it is awful, awful, awful painful. I am so sorry sweet Jina that Lyla found that spot to rest. I don't know if they correlate, but watch for cramps in your back too, mainly like stomach cramps but in your back – back labor. That is almost worse. So now you may be getting scared about delivery, just know that as scary the thought might be, it is the absolute most amazing experience ever and I swear when you remember back to that day, you will not remember how bad the pain really was. Love you!
