Hi! I'm Jina's cousin Anne (in Texas) and guess what? I drive a '99 Toyota Solara too! Beyond that, I too am amazed not only by your obvious love and devotion to my cousin Jina and your soon to arrive baby daughter Lyla, but at the incredible gift of technical talent you've been blessed with from above. This site and this blog is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing yourself and Jina and baby Lyla with all of us. It's quite a refreshing change from the way so many have become isolated and disconnected. Keep up the good work, please.

I can't even tell you all how proud I am of Mike for doing all this research to save us money each month. That takes a lot of dedication (or insanity) to go through everything and figure out what and where we can be doing better. I know you all already know this… but he is an amazing guy. Lyla and I are lucky girls.

Yeah Scotty yer right…we save on gas and will be saving a lot more
once the Passat isnt driven so much. So yeah…even more savings
there!

Good stuff Mikey. We've made similar changes and man I miss my truck something fierce, but not as much as I love driving a car that's paid for. We're still making changes, but it feels good to do away with stuff you really don't need in the first place.

I'm guessing that like us you also save some $$ money in gas by driving the Solara vs the truck?
