My favorite pop culture things from 2008

// December 31st, 2008 // 2 Comments » // fun

It’s the end of 2008 and it was a fun year for me in many ways, not the least of which was the arrival of Lyla. But I’ve written plenty of that (and will write plenty more)…it’s time to focus on my other hobby: pop culture.

Okay, so this guy from TVGuide.com has all the friggin’ luck in the world and has seen the first two episodes of the newest season of Lost. It premieres on January 21st, which still seems like an excruciatingly long wait.

Yikes, it’s been over a week since I last posted a blog. That should probably tell you how crazy things have been around the Olbinski household. I’ve been off work since December 24th and it seems like the days have been filled with nothing but family, errands and taking care of Lyla.
My dad came [...]

// December 21st, 2008 // 8 Comments » // family

I’m writing this the evening of December 21st, but by tomorrow night at 11:29pm, Lyla Grace will be a month old.
She’s got a steady boyfriend, moved out of the house, is graduating from college in two years and already wrecked my Toyota.
Wow, where has the time gone?
Okay, I’m making that all up OF COURSE, [...]
