Facebook photo albums on your blog using Fotoshoot
// December 12th, 2008 // fun
Some of you have astutely noticed already that A Mike Life now has a Photos tab and a bunch of photo albums to look at. Well, all of these are really just photo albums I’ve uploaded to Facebook. So how did I get them here?
There is a WordPress plugin called “Fotoshoot” which allows you to use a Facebook application to link your blog to your Facebook account and thus your photo albums.
I’ve always been a proponent of doing something ONCE and having it appear everywhere you want. When I post my status on Twitter, I want it to appear on Facebook too, and vice versa. When I upload photos to Facebook, I’d like them to appear on this blog with minimal effort.
Fotobook allows you to do this and it’s super-cool. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog, go check it out. I’m not sure if the freebie WordPress blogs and use outside plugins or not, but it’s worth a try.
In the meantime, you can see all our photos here, including a new Lyla Grace, Week 3 section!

That's a good way to go. For my few pics, instead of uploading to Facebook, I use the MyPicasa FB app so I pull from there. But I'm not a photo person so I don't know if that would be better or worse.
Love this plugin. Super easy install too.
cool – thanks for the tip!
I'll have to check that out.
