Weather station almost done!

Wow, I’m having a bit too much fun with this new weather station, which is fairly pathetic considering there is really nothing going on but clear skies and cool temperatures.

However, getting this thing setup has been a blast. All that is left to do is mount the wind and rain gauge sensors, which I should be able to do on Wednesday sometime.

But right now I have the Thermo-Hygro sensor (measures temperature and humidity) outside and transmitting data to the Base Station. That Base Station is connected to the office computer, which has software collecting all the data.

And finally, there is a second piece of software that reads the data and transmits it to one of my favorite weather websites: Wunderground.com.

In fact, here is the link to my personal weather station on that site: KAZCHAND29

You can see a snippet of data below, which is updating live. You can click on that as well to take you to my weather station data.

The next step is to connect the rain gauge and wind sensor to my rooftop antenna pole. That will take some work and could prove a bit frightening for my slight fear of heights.
