I love how teams act on The Amazing Race when they find out they are going to China. Somehow they suddenly get the idea that the country uses as few words as possibl3 and might be filled solely with 5-year olds.
“We go China now.”
Thanks to the short guys for that one. And a special thanks to the cheerleaders for yet another thing they hate: Countries with lots of people.
Alrighty then…first you hate foreigners, then you hate foreign countries with a population problem.
Why exactly did they apply to go on this race?
There was a new record set in tonight’s episode, I’m not sure if you are aware. It was the number of times the word b*itch was used in an hour-long television show.
Not to mention perhaps one of the most tense conflicts ever on The Amazing Race. At least, I can’t remember another time when two teams just kept yelling and there was crying and laughing and Phil had to try and break it up.
Whew…it was kind of hard to watch in my opinion. For what it’s worth, I’m on poor Luke’s side, even if he did swing a nice elbow at Jennifer. She crowded him and was practically draped all over his back…which would have irritated me too.
I’ve never been a fan of people who seem to enjoy making others angry…which those two girls were relishing there at the end.
Mark and Michael started the leg off almost four hours behind Kisha and Jennifer, and there were never any efforts made by the editing crew to make us believe they might possibly catch up.
That speed bump was a yucky one though…not sure I could randomly shampoo someone’s hair. Of course, one of the guys had a father who was a hairdresser, so it was an easy task for him….ya right.
I swear I thought when they hit the dancing challenge, one of them would have said that their mother was a Chinese square-dancing champion, so this task will be a breeze.
Needless to say, they were booted off the show, finally…and amazingly, without a penalty. They almost looked a bit embarrassed at the pit stop. And they probably should be…no other team has screwed up as much as they have in the history of the show.
The Contest!
Three teams had Mark and Michael this week, so the plot thickens.

Nice recap. Luke is definitely not completely innocent though. That second incident was all him–he barreled into Jen from behind. He has a pretty short-fuse and seems to like to get angry a lot. I know, he has a good excuse but I guess I’m just growing tired of it.
Yeah, you are right Melissa…he does tend to get a bit offended easily at times. He did kind of barrel into her there, but i think she just stopped in front of him, he may not have seen the clue box?
Either way, an ugly situation…
And at this point, I really don’t care who wins for some reason…I still miss Mel and Mike
I love how disapproving Phil was of the short stuntmen… He could barely hide his disgust anymore when checking them in, and thus eliminating them from the competition they should have exited weeks ago.
Lesson of the Day: Don’t break the Race rules if you want a sweet good-bye from Phil and his eyebrow!
