What to expect at Comic-Con

Not that long ago, I told you all that I was headed to Comic-Con for a day trip, and I was bringing along two convention newbies: The Cap’n and his boy Wesley.

We’re all super-excited, pumped, discussing wardrobe options (calm down, I’m just talking about what t-shirts we’re wearing to shoe off our geekiness, not costumes) and it’s starting to feel like it’s never going to get here.

That excitement wore off on two more people who are now joining us for the trek over to San Diego on July 23rd. I can’t exactly mention their names yet, because one of them isn’t aware they are going yet (which is frakking awesome). However, I did want to point out that there are now FIVE of us going over for the day adventure of the year.

The group expanding. We’re a crew now…what could the next level be?

If YOU want to join us…Thursday is now 87% full, so get your tickets now. We’re taking the first flight out that morning on Southwest and the last one home.

Only requirement is that you wear some kind of nerdy t-shirt. Superhero, favorite tv show, movie, whatever.

    Whats really funny is your pic above with the Storm troopers. they are from a group called the 501st. Lucas authorizes them to ‘represent’ [folds arms and makes a gang sign when says represent] his brand. I work with a guy who is a co lead of the az chapter, he tells some pretty good stories, im sure we’ll see some of them on opening day!!!!

    I was totally going to “join the crew” … geeky t-shirt and all, until I read the Cap’n's comment above and realized I am and would totally be out of my league! Oh well, I guess I’ll just go back to watching Gilmore Girls reruns on TV.

    “I was totally going to “join the crew”….”WHAT!?!?!!? you should go!!!! it would be a total blast!!! If you werent teasing, you should go… it would be funarama… I bet Mrs. Capn would watch lil Lyla for the day….. you should go!!!!
