Weather photos of the day

The end of this past week has been pretty eventful in terms of weather. Flooding in Dallas, tornadoes in Austin, Oklahoma, Colorado and Memphis…all of which has resulted in some cool photos.
Below are some more cool pictures I’ve found over the last few days.
These hail photos are from our friend Daireth, who received them from family living in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This was from yesterday or the day before.



Now this one below is from our friends Dave and Josie in Austin, Texas. They took these photos themselves from the backyard. You can see more on her blog post.
I’m pretty sure this is a Wall Cloud below, and the tornado would end up poking out from the bottom of it. You can see how the cloud has a kind of “twist” to it as it goes upwards. That’s because the supercell is actually SUCKING up air into the cloud, which is actually what a tornado really is.
