Weather photos of the day

// June 12th, 2009 // photography, weather

Before I get to the photo, just a quick blurb that I’m glad everyone we know in Texas is safe today. Jina’s parents were in the line of fire for that first storm that flooded Dallas two days ago, and luckily didn’t get a tornado or damaging winds where they were.

Also our friends in Austin (Dave, Josie, Collin, Drew and a “coming soon”) last night had TWO tornadoes reported within miles of their house. I alerted them about an hour before the storms hit (because I have issues), and was watching it the entire time on radar.

They made it through safely, although it was a bit frightening!

Okay, so I am always  on this site Wunderground.com for their radar, my weather station and the photos posted from the community.

I love this one taken near Farson, Wyoming yesterday.

Farson, Wyoming

This one was taken in Laramie, Wyoming…the cool part of the photo is that a storm had just passed and the ground is littered with hail.

    LOL because you have issues. We appreciated the heads up! Check it out – the tornado formed right in our backyard. It’s seriously less than a quarter of a mile away. Hope that never happens again! http://lucyshouse.wordpress.com/2009/06/12/crazy-night-in-austin/
