The Amazing Race Contest!!!

Okay, you’ve all gotten the chance to watch the first two episodes of the season so now it’s time to make your picks on who you think will win it all.

I actually think this group doesn’ t really have a clear-cut studly team, so the picks everyone has could be interesting.

So let’s get on to the contest! We’re going to try something different this year.

The rules:

- Pick three teams and tell me what they are in the comments below

- Your teams score points based on how they do every week

Points system:

  • Finish 1st on a leg: 10 points
  • Finish 2nd on a leg: 5 points
  • Finish 3rd on a leg: 3 points
  • Finish a leg: 1 point
  • Win the Amazing Race: 25 points

There will be a tiebreaker: Predict the final city where the finish line will be. In the event of a tie, the person who guesses the closet to the actual city will win!

    Alright I’m going with:

    1. Herbert and Nathaniel – I just like them and want them around. I’m not very strategic, I guess. :P
    2. Sam and Dan – I like their personalities and they seem smart & strong. I think they’ll show themselves more in the next few episodes.
    3. Zev and Justin – Gotta support AS. Zev cracks us up and reminds us so much of my nephew. :)

    Can I vote for the people I want out ASAP?! In that case, Lance and Keri. Who’s with me!? I wish I could tell you what Dave said about him, but it might be too much to write on your blog. Intrigued? ;) lol

    i’m in!
    1. zev and justin- i heart zev. when he gave that guy on the bus his jacket, i got tears in my eyes.
    2. gary and matt- i think they are hands-on, hard working guys that will be able to handle a lot of the tough tasks. plus i lovce the pink hair. reminds me of gwen stefani.
    3. meghan and cheyne- they are doing great so far, haven’t been totally annoying (except for his hair) and work together well.
    i would have picked sam and dan b/c i love them but then josie and i would have 2 of the same teams, oh well!
    and yes, lance scares me. roid rage anyone?
    and the poker face girls are bugging me too. i hope it is just all editing for their sake, but they are portraying themselves as sooo shallow and catty. and poor tiffany seems like she has to do all the grunt work! did you notice she pulled the animal cart by herself the whole time? and then had to rip apart VCRs?

    I am picking …

    1. Herbert and Nathaniel – I love globe-trotters!
    2. Meghan and Cheyne – I think they are the strongest female/male team.
    3. Garrett and Jessica – Because I know nothing about them… so why not?

    Final City – I keep going between Philadelphia and Miami, so I will split the difference and say Atlanta.

    My picks:

    1. Meghan/Cheyne – They have done pretty well so far even though Cheyne really needs a better haircut.
    2. Flight Time/The Big Easy – I think these two have the best edge. They have the most travel experience and teamwork experience and are probably most athletic.
    3. Sam/Dan – They’re young, gay and Christian. What’s not to like! (I’m kidding!) I just think they’ve got a good chance too, if Sam can get Dan to control his type-a-ness.

    Well, we’re both feeling pretty dumb, but we’ll just go with only two teams from here on out. The CBS website sucks, they don’t indicate anywhere who was off already and my memory sucks apparently :)

    Oh well, my other two teams were first and second, so that’s good :)
