Woo, here we are back with Amazing Race recaps and contest results! Although my recaps might be shorter than before, it’s still fun to look back at the episode and see how far behind I am in my own contest *grin*

Let’s get to the one annoying part of tonight’s leg: The first fifteen minutes were devoted entirely to the trip to the airport and all the drama about getting on the flight when everyone ended up getting on the flight.

I dunno if any of you were bothered by that, but while kind of suspenseful, I think we all knew they were getting on that stinkin’ plane.

On a side note, not sure if it’s the type of camera lenses they are using on the show now, but it seems like Phil’s shoulders keep getting closer and closer together. I think two seasons from now he’s going to appear to be a triangle with a head on top.

Of course, he could have lost the head too if Lance had connected on that roundhouse kick he let go when they arrived at the finish mat. What is with that guy? Too much energy and psychosis Lance!

So what about the end. Poor Zev and Justin. These were nice guys who were running a great race and suddenly they lose a passport and go from finishing first to being eliminated. Ugh, how devastating. Can you imagine the brief elation of being first and then going to utter disappointment a few seconds later?

Although, after emptying their bags, we shouldn’t be surprised that they lost one…they had a LOT of stuff in those things, it’s no wonder it disappeared.

The Contest

So here are the first results of the contest. Jina and I were morons this week and picked two teams that aren’t even in the race anymore. Total confusion and no excuse. We’ll go on from here with only two teams, but it doesn’t mean much for me since quite a few people already have my two guys.

Josie could have pulled an amazing feat if Zev and Justin hadn’t been booted, because she would have had the top three teams already and been off running with 18 points.

Instead, she’s second to her hubby Dave. Here’s the standings:
