The Amazing Race recap!

I had this recap written on the plane last Monday, but then I failed to save it and then my computer crashed, so I lost it. Now it’s taken me this long to find time to write it again.

Okay, let’s start at the most obvious place you can:

FOUR HOUR PENALTY? WHY?????

Big Easy and Flight Time decided that sitting around for four hours was better than trying to finish the challenge, which ended up costing them the race.

I just don’t get it. I know Big Easy had been trying for 2-3 hours at that point and maybe he was sick of it, but if you know the word starts with “F” and you badly wanted to win this race, don’t you keep trying for four hours instead of sitting around?

I think the bottom line with those guys is that they were in the race for fun and when it got hard, it ended up not mattering as much to them. Too bad really, I loved those guys.

And all it did was open up a spot for Brian and Ericka, who absolutely shouldn’t be in the top three.

Do you honestly expect them to offer up any competition on the final leg with Sam/Dan and Cheyne/Meghan?

The only way that they’ll be a factor in the finale is if the plane ride to Las Vegas happens to allow them all to catch up. Will likely happen…it always seems to end that way.

Even so…the other two teams are so much stronger.

This leg was chock full of awesome challenges. The phones and the word to unscramble, the mud man that weighed A TON, the delivery of beer to drunk people and finally the -180 degrees Celius 2-minute enclosure.

Wow, that seems awfully cold.

So who do you guys think will cross the finish line first???

Dave is winning, but Adrian is close. If Adrian has any chance to win this thing, he’ll be praying for Brian and Ericka to pull the upset!
