On the right side of this blog post, you’ll see a column with a bunch of stuff in it. I’ve now added a display for my Facebook status posts, which I tend to update a few times a day.
If you don’t know what Facebook is, then you live a sheltered life. But it’s okay, I’m here to tell you about it. At least, a brief synopsis.
Facebook is a fantastic way to find friends and family, communicate with them on a daily basis, share what’s going on in your life, post photos for everyone to see and just have fun reconnecting with people.
It’s the grown-up verison of MySpace basically.
If you want to join, go to Facebook.com and then search for Mike Olbinski and I’ll be your first friend on there.
As a sample of stuff I upload to Facebook, here is a photo album of my 30th birthday bash back in 2005:

If anyone was wondering where the photo came from in the header of my blog here, it’s from a weather shot I took coming home from Williams, AZ a few months ago during a monsoon storm.
Nothing fancy, I’m no photographer, but I liked the contrast of the sign with the dark clouds in the background.
When I first put up the new theme, it had a default “flower” kind of header up top and someone suggested I put something up there that was more “me”…so I grabbed a weather picture, because if any of you know me, a picture of a cloud is definitely ME.

Yes, I’ve switched to another theme for this blog…mostly because I just can’t find one I’m content about. Plus I had TWO complaints on the previous one, and I like to find themes with ZERO objections.
So hopefully my buddy Bryan Cox will like this one better?
I may tweak with a few things, like the header image and the font styles for the blog post titles, but other than that, I like it.

Okay, I’m just testing out a new theme and tweaking with it as I go. I like it, especially the picture of the two dogs to the left. How cute are they?
Still a teeny bit of work to do on the sidebars, but overall I like it. Simple, neat and clean.
